Jenn volunteered to be our first guest busker for #buskingforkarma! Here is what she had to say about why she braved her fears to volunteer her beautiful voice to the cause:
“I felt the need to help you, because I see you come home every night, late, exhausted, and not in the same way that you did with other work. You’ve given up and changed just about everything in your life to make this happen. I see how hard you are trying and wanted you to know I support you and want you to succeed. I know how hard it was for me to do this. I can’t Imagine how terrifying it must be for you to do what you are doing.
I say if we all do something every once in a while that scares us in the name of friends and support, the world would be an amazing place. This also excludes me from karaoke for the rest of my life.” – Jenn

In the next installment in #buskingforkarma, I sing one of my favorite songs from Eddie Vedder, Rise. It is only fitting that this song is on his soundtrack to the movie Into the Wild.
Help us find our direction magnetically by donating to the making of the film!
Here among the crew at the Karma Documentary, we pride ourselves on using multi-media and being multi-faceted people. We are also in need of funding to keep the project going…
This got me and Christen thinking one evening (or morning) after a marathon session of reviewing footage for the promotional trailer. We like to call these type of sessions our ‘Hemingway time’. Usually, we just end up discussing lots of silly ideas over eggs and end up with nothing but several dirty dishes. This time, Christen had a stroke of genius.
Like I said before, we like to dabble in various arts, so Christen suggested we do some ‘virtual busking’ to raise money for the film. If you have not heard the term, to busk is to perform in public for tips. Here is the first in the series of songs I would like to perform for you in our new social media world. There will be many more to come! If you like what you see and hear, please donate.
Also, we would like to invite all of you to make your own videos playing your favorite cover or original song (smart phone videos are great, if you need to do a simple setup). After you make the video, post it to the Karma Documentary Facebook page.
If you decide to join the fun, please include this link in your post with a request to provide ‘tips’ to help fund the Karma Documentary: http://www.karmadocumentary.com/invest-in-karma/
Also, please share the request with other musician friends of yours. Let’s see how far we can take this!
Thank you for your help.

Many have asked to see some footage from the trip. While there is still a mini-mountain of files to go through, we wanted to share some moments from the first third of the trip, so you can see what it was like on the trek. We figured this would be a nice compliment to the regular blog posts.
There will be more footage coming soon, including the official promotional trailer. Stay tuned!
